I like you.... and chocolate

I just received some new goodies today and had to play.  I had fun (relative word.... shaker cards take me way too long ;)  ) creating this one.  I used the Pebbles Forever My Always collection.

I had to try out the Heart Confetti Collage die from Poppy Stamps.  I used it to create a panel then made a shaker box out of it using some of the die cuts as confetti.   I then used the Lovey Word Coordinates by Reverse Confetti and cut it apart. I then finished off the card with a couple of SRM Stickers.

Happy, happy birthday - masculine card

Now, not only do I need to build up my kids birthday card stash, I need more guy ones so here I have one for you today.

Once again I have used the Hey Mister collection by My Mind's Eye.

I then used some stamps from Stampin' UP!.  First I created the background using the Playful Background set to mimic a bubbly background. I then stamped and cut out the mugs of beer from the Mixed Drink Set. One of them is mounted on foam squares. The stamped sentiment is from the Picture Perfect set. As a final touch I die cut the Cheers sentiment from MFT.

Snow Day....

Scrappy Sunday.... :)  My goal is to make Sunday a scrappy Sunday... or at least most of them.  We shall see how that goes.

Anyways I am finally scrapping these cute photos from last January.  I used the Snowball Fight from Photo Play Paper

I did a bit of color blocking with bits of the patterned paper then added a snowflake border using the Alpine Snowflake Band by Poppy Stamps  (and die cut a third to use some of the snowflakes on the page elsewhere) - I just die cut 2 of the borders and layered them down the page.  I then stitched and stapled them and added some SRM Stickers.
For the title I adhered the SRM Stickers to cardstock first, then cut them out so that they could be mounted on foam squares and clipped with clothes pins.... for the feel of hanging wet clothes out to dry.

I also fussy cut some snowmen and the sign post from some of the pattern paper.  I mounted the snowmen on foam squares.

Lots of Birthday Card goodness...

Caution.... lots of cards today!

I had some fun with the Happy Hooray collection by Pebbles.  I know you are wondering why so many birthday cards lately... ;)  I have always given a hand made card to the students in my class on their birthdays.  With my crafty mojo gone for a couple of years my cards dwindled and I didn't restock.  I actually felt bad not giving them a hand made card.  So... here I am, building my stash so that next year I can be right back at it.

Anyways, here are the 4 cards that I have created with this pack so far.

These are for the

  Simon Says Challenge: Pattern Paper

First up, I used a couple of dies from MFT.  The Tall Tag Duo made for a nice pennant to hang the main image on.

I then cut a frame using the Birthday Circle Frame, added some die cut ephemera from the collection and mounted on foam squares.

Playing along with this week's sketch at MFT:

Next up, I just played with some of the ephemera and layered some of the paper.

I did die cut the 7 and then added to the stack of gifts.  The main image is mounted on foam squares.

For this next one I kept it pretty clean and simple.  That striped paper, made me think of a layered rainbow cake so that is what I created.  The cake die is from SU! and is not available anymore.

I stamped and cut out the candles from the Picture Perfect stamp set from Stampin' UP! (only available for a short time... be sure to nab it... so many uses!)

I added some glitter to the cake and candle flames for some interest.  The Wish die (MFT) I kept subtle as I wanted the cake, which is mounted on foam squares to stand out.  I also mounted the inner panel on foam strips.

Finally, this fun and interactive card.

That cute little dog is not mounted on foam squares but instead on some Action Wobble Springs from Simon Says.  Won't the kids have fun with that?!  :)  I know I have, LOL!

Here it is grand daughter approved :)
